The Monster Rancher anime and the series of games aren't too similar, because of how the games just are. The anime series is adorable and awesome, and spans three seasons, last of which was never aired in the US despite it being dubbed.

As for the games, Monster Rancher is more of a breeding/training simulator. It's mainly for the Playstation/PS2 and while the games include base breeds to start off with, the game allows mixed breeding so you can wind up with all sorts of different Monsters. They also have something pretty nifty, where you can take the CDs lying all around your household, have the game read them and produce brand new Monsters. And we're talking ANY CD EVER here, so if you have a lot, you'll have a ball. You choose what to feed the Monster each month, choose what kind of training you want to focus on to make them more powerful, and much more. The Monsters can fight in tournaments, move up in class and popularity, and, EMOLY ENOUGH, die when they get too old.
So yeah, they're very fun! I've only played 2 and 3 myself, but I want to play 4 one day and there's an ONLINE GAME COMING OUT AHHH. There are also a bunch of cool spin-off games, and a list of them are HERE. And you can find the games on Amazon. :D

Age: Not stated. SEMI-YOUNG?!
Height: No canon for this uh. But he can carry a 14 year old on his back with no problem? Taller than a 12 year old when on his hind legs.
Eyes: Reddish/brown and yellow.
Hair Fur: Blue and white.
Medical Info: Is a Monster! Tiger breed, and looks like a wolf despite, you know, the name TIGER as the breed. XD In canon it's stated that basically all Monsters were genetically engineered.
Physical traits: Has a scar that runs from between his eyes to the right side of his face.
What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: Anything, pretty much! If there are any problems, I'll let you know.
Notes for the Psychics: Nothing much here, either. Thinks of his friends, his brother GrayWolf. Has some emo down there, but otherwise he's all good.
Abilities: Usually sticks with Lightning and Blizzard attacks. Otherwise, standard teeth and claws warning. 8D
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Hells yes!
Kissing/Hugging: Tiger no liek hugs (only from Holly). But that's not me saying not to try it. XD ... who would want to kiss him I dunno but that'd be okay?
Fighting: I love it! Tiger likes it quite a bit himself. ;) I'm always open to it.
Maim/Murder/Death: I'm gonna have to say no. XD Because that results in Tiger turning into a Mystery Disc, which requires a shrine to bring him back again. And there are none in camp!
Emo, Angst, Drama: A+! MR DOES have some, but in slightly smaller doses.
